A modern, Christmas parable for young & old to cherish, together.

It all began with a question. Amanda asked herself, “If Jesus was alive today, would he tell the same stories?” The obvious answer was no. Many of the societal norms 2,000 years ago would be obsolete; however, our human condition remains the same. Now she’s on a mission through Epiphany Press to craft new parables that will point your heart toward it’s true home.

Her first children’s book is about an essential oil farmer who plants a frankincense seed in his greenhouse in Arizona before the Christmas season. The seed enjoys the farmer’s loving care until…it goes dark. Find out what happens to the seed who can no longer see the farmer’s goodness. Will she fulfill her destiny or be abandoned to the shadows? You’ll be surprised as this seed-turned-shrub unexpectedly plays the most important role of her life–as a gift to the King of Kings–and much more in this modern-day parable about the true meaning of the reason for the season.

The Press

Epiphany Press is a publishing company that seeks to re-invent ancient, biblical parables for our modern-day enjoyment and enlightenment. Each book can be read as a simple narrative by any child or re-read multiple times by an adult on a more introspective level, using the Go Deeper section in the back of the book as a guide, to discover hidden epiphanies in the text and illustrations. As the reader takes the time to contemplate how the narrative can apply to his or her own life, the hope is that wisdom can be gained and applied—and eternal bliss encountered.
